Postcard from Salvatore Coccu to his father Giuseppe, dated 13 June 1944, sent from work kommando no. 1048. Ciriaco was his brother; Pala was his friend in Stalag IX B

"Dear father, I came in possession of your writing dated 07-04-1944. You don't imagine the joy, when I read you are well, I don't complain I'm well too! Have you news of Ciriaco? I can't write him because I don't know the address. I greet you and I blow a kiss to you, my sisters and to Angelo. Your son Salvatore. Greetings from Pala, he doesn't receive any letters."

"Dear father, I write you two lines trying to send news from me and Pala. We are in perfect health, I don't remember the address of Ciriaco's division, otherwise I have made a request; I hope you are in possession of some his letters. I greet all my family. Salvatore."
